Darla Bass, owner of Group Getaways, has been involved in the travel industry since 1982. All of the years in the industry have brought her experience from many different travel perspectives. From travel agencies to travel management corporations, from hoteliers to transportation and tour operators, and teaching travel; every position held has greatly contributed to her love of travel. Her greatest joy has been designing and escorting tours. Though the company name is new (opened Sep. 01, 2009) the experience is not! When we design tours the customer can be assured of the greatest value possible. Our philosophy is that if we wouldn't pay it we don't expect you too, either! We base the price of a tour on a much higher occupancy. Therefore, we are able to pass greater savings on to you. We are very selective about the vendors we use. The coaches will always be very well maintained. They are clean, comfortable and equipped with more than the usual amenities. The insurance liability is double the standard requirements and their safety record is extremely impressive. We wouldn't settle for anything less. Your safety is our number one priority! The hotels we utilize are clean, comfortable, and in safe locations. They normally offer many amenities which make your stay even more enjoyable.
