TRAVEL INSURED: Group Getaways has purchased the Travel Insured 'Group Plan' for all travelers on overnight tours with a few exceptions. If Group Getaways cancels the tour you will receive a FULL refund.
PRICE INCLUDES: Each tour lists what is included in the price.
CHECKED LUGGAGE & CARRY ON: Each participant is allowed one large size piece of luggage (not to exceed 40 pounds) which travels underneath the coach and one small carry-on that must be able to fit in the overhead compartment of the coach. A luggage tag for your checked bag will be mailed with the final documents. Your carry-on bag stays in your possession. If you have a CPAP or other medical item that does not fit in your checked luggage, please call us for instruction. We need to know in advance so we are able to accommodate.
ATTIRE: Casual clothing is the norm. If special clothing is required for a particular tour, it will be advised in the travel documents that are mailed to you. Comfortable walking shoes are always highly recommended.
HOTEL REQUESTS: Special requests such as a room next to another traveling companion, smoking room, handicap, ground floor, bed type, etc. must be requested at time of reservation. We will do all we can to accommodate. Please note that it is a request only and no guarantees can be made. The hotels determines if they are able to accommodate the request.
GUARANTEED SHARE PROGRAM: If you are a non-smoker and would like a roommate for cost savings, let us know when making your reservation. We will pair you with another traveler of the same gender. If we do not find a roommate for you, you will still enjoy the same low share rate and have the room to yourself providing your reservation and payment is received by no later than the Early Booking Bonus Date. For reservations made after the bonus date, we will try to find a roommate, but it is not guaranteed. Most tours offer the guarantee share. Casino tours and cruise tours are exempt from this program. If you want to request a smoking room, it must be done at time of reservation. We will tell you if the hotel allows it. SINGLE SUPPLEMENT: The higher rate is primarily based on the room charge. EX: Your room cost is $100.00 per night so you would pay $100.00. If you have a roommate, you would each pay $50.00. The more nights you stay, the higher the difference is between the single and other sharing rates. Therefore, we offer the share program as an alternate option for savings for those who are interested.
SPECIAL MEALS/SNACKS: We will do all possible to satisfy special meal/snack requests for medical reasons. If you have food allergies or are diabetic and need to request special options, please let us know when making your reservation. We will do all possible to accommodate. Please note special requests are never a guarantee. Sometimes food is catered and the vendor is not able to accommodate different items from the group meal. Please note that this request is for health/medical needs only. Other requests are made on a per basis.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS (Motor Coach Tours): Approximately two weeks prior to the trip, your travel documents will be mailed to you. Documents include a detailed tour itinerary, departure information including location and pick up time, hotel information, clothing suggestions, luggage tag, medical form, and any other information pertinent to that particular trip. (Cruise Tours normally have a pre-tour meeting where documents are handed out with more details.
PICK UP LOCATIONS: Will be listed with each tour. Please note that pick up locations are subject to change/elimination at any time. The parking facility is not responsible for any damage, theft, etc.
GRATUITIES: The tour price includes gratuities for the local step-on guides and docents, most meals that are included on the tour and luggage handlers. End of tour gratuities for the motor coach driver and tour director are not included and should be based on the quality of the service you received. This is done at your discretion, given individually at the end of the tour. Many offer a gratuity to their housekeeping staff at the hotel for a job well done. This is also at your discretion.
MOTOR COACH SEATING: Most is on a first come basis. Some tours may have pre-assigned seating which is determined by the tour director. It will depend on the length of the tour and the group itself. Group Getaways is not responsible for any losses or damages of personal property, or for injuries, expenses or damages incurred by any traveling tour member.
